Privacy Policy
The short version
The free tools at polestartech.co/tools work fully without an account — nothing you type into a calculator is sent anywhere unless you explicitly choose to save it. If you create an account, we store what's needed to make "save" and "my projects" work: your email, whatever profile fields you fill in, and the calculations you save. We don't sell data, and you can download or delete everything tied to your account at any time from My Account.

What we never collect
- We don't require an account to use any calculator, and a calculation's inputs and results are never transmitted anywhere unless you click Save.
- We don't ask for payment information anywhere on the free tools.
- We don't sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Where it's stored
Account and project data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, in the eur3 (European Union, multi-region) location. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google). Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics. We don't run our own servers for this data — it lives in Google's infrastructure under Polestar Technology's project, access-controlled so that only you can read or write your own account, profile, and saved projects (enforced by database security rules, not just application logic).
Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic and which tools get used — this runs for all visitors, signed in or not, and uses cookies to distinguish sessions, consistent with standard GA4 behavior. We do not currently show a cookie-consent banner; if your jurisdiction requires opt-in consent for analytics cookies specifically, treat your continued use of the site as the point to raise that with info@polestartech.co and we'll accommodate it. Signed-in usage telemetry (which tool, input/output summaries tied to your account) is separate from GA4 and is opt-in only, toggleable any time from your Account page.
Your rights
- Access & export — "Download my data" on the Account page gives you a JSON file of your profile and every saved project.
- Deletion — "Delete my account and data" on the same page permanently removes your profile and saved projects, and deletes your sign-in account. This cannot be undone.
- Correction — edit your profile fields directly on the Account page at any time.
- Consent withdrawal — toggle usage analytics or marketing email off any time; this takes effect immediately.
One exception: anonymized usage-telemetry records (which tool, input/output summaries — no name, email, or profile data) are kept as a write-once log for product reliability even after account deletion, since they carry no personal information once the account they were tied to no longer exists. Everything that identifies you is deleted.
Third parties this data passes through
- Google Cloud / Firebase — hosting, authentication, and database infrastructure. Google's own privacy terms apply to their processing of this data on our behalf.
- Google Analytics — anonymous traffic and usage analytics.
- Formspree — if you submit the Founding Pilot Cohort application form, that submission (company, contact details, technical answers) is processed by Formspree and delivered to us by email. It is not connected to any tool account.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change what we collect or why, we'll update the version number and effective date at the top of this page, and — for signed-in users — ask you to re-acknowledge consent the next time you visit.
